BEKASI: Toshiba, a manufacturer of electronic products, is eyeing to sell 1.06 million LED TVs or grabbing 25% market share from the total national market.
The company is optimistic to achieve the target since the sale of TV grew 463% to 530,000 units compared to 94,000 units in 2010, PT Toshiba Visual Media Network Indonesia President Director Jun Nishioka said.
Toshiba, he added, only grabbed 11% market share in 2010. However, the company managed to increase it to 22% in 2011.
“We attempt to increase our market share by launching Regza Power TV that accommodates the needs of Indonesian consumer,” he said on the sideline of Toshiba Factory Visit and Business Overview in Cikarang, Bekasi, today, April 18, 2012.
Therefore, Toshiba will focus on producing LED TVs that are considered more energy efficient combined with a thin appearance.
