SURABAYA: PT Semen Gresik Tbk prepares investment funds worth US$300 million to build cement plants with a capacity of 2 million tons per yeat in Myanmar or Vietnam.
Meanwhile, cement plant Tuban unit IV with a capacity of 2.5 million tons in Tuban, East Java has started its production with a utility level of 80%.
President Director of PT Semen Gresik (persero) Tbk Dwi Sutjipto said the establishment of a new plant in overseas and two plants in East Java and Sumatra are included in the business agenda of the company next year.
According to him, the establishment of new plant in Myanmar or Vietnam is done as cement consumption in both countries is pretty high. (K22/T03/TW)
