JAKARTA: PT Sarana Multi Infrastructure Tbk identified 41 projects from the Masterplan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development of Indonesia (MP3EI) amounting to IDR51.1 trillion which will be prioritized to get financing facility from the company starting 2013.
Of the total 41 projects, 20 projects are focused in the electricity sector set for IDR15.2 trillion, 2 projects in oil and gas sector for IDR1.1 trillion, a telecommunications project 500 billion, three drinking water projects with a value of IDR2.79 trillion; 3 road construction projects worth IDR8 trillion, and 10 unit projects in the transportation sector of IDR23.45 trillion.
President Director of PT SMI Emma S Martini said the 41 projects set at IDR51.1 trillion are still an early identification which are considered potential, but will not necessarily involve SMI in the entire financing facility.
Because the company also saw the readiness of the projects both in terms of licensing, completeness of the agreements and documents, as well as the structure and feasibility of the project.
"From MP3EI projects that have been mapped, we have identified projects which are considered ready thus, SMI can participate to provide the financing," said Emma without mentioning the projects.
According to her, in granting the loan, SMI will implement a limit of the loan for IDR5.7 trillion, or about 10% to 20% of the total value of each project.(T03/msw)
