JAKARTA: PT Prudential Life Assurance (Prudential Indonesia) recorded a total premium income of IDR14.84 trillion, or up 47% compared to the total premium in 2010, IDR10 trillion.
President Director of Prudential Indonesia William Kuan said as much as IDR1.7 trillion, or 11.45% of the total premium was contributed by premium from Shariah business unit.
Meanwhile, premium earned from conventional business was IDR13.14 trillion, or about 88.54% of the total premium last year.
He said the total claims and benefits paid by Prudential Indonesia last year more than IDR3.9 trillion, up 18% compared to the total claims in 2010.
"We are grateful to provide services to more than 1.4 million customers in Indonesia, which part of 16% of the total number of insured individuals in the life insurance industry which reaches 8.9 million customers," he said.(T03/aph)
