JAKARTA: PT Pemeringkat Efek Indonesia (Pefiondo) is planning to strengthen strategic alliance with international rating agency Standard & Poor’s Rating Services.
Pefindo President Director Roland Andi T. Kasim said the strengthened business partnership with S&P is aimed to expand Pefindo products marketing.
“Pefindo has been in partner with S&P but this year we will strengthen the partnership. Pefindo can later market its product to S&P clients,” he said on Wednesday, May 16, 2012.
According to him, Pefindo management has proposed their business plans to shareholders and regulators. “Hopefully it could be done this year.”
Currently, S&P doesn’t have branch office in Indonesia so the government bonds ranking process is performed on its branch office located in Singapore.
“Pefindo has been assisting the process,” he said.
if such partnership has improved Pefindo can be directly involved in US dollar denominated global bonds rating done by S&P to enterprises in Indonesia. (T07/msw)
