JAKARTA: PT Pamapersada Nusantara, a mining contractor unit of PT Astra International Tbk and PT United Tractors Tbk, sealed US$265 million loans or equivalent to IDR2.43 trillion from six banks.
Based on Bloomberg report, the six banks are Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp (OCBC), DBS Bank Ltd, Mizuho Corporate Bank Ltd, Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ Ltd, Citigroup Inc, and Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp.
“The loan fund is use for capital expenditure and general operating expenses,” cited from Bloomberg report based on the press release from its creditor.
Such loan consists of US$132.5 million overdue in 5 years, US$132.5 million revolving loan overdue in 3 years, which is extendable for the next 2 years.
Pamapersada Nusantara is a mining contractor unit of United Tractors and Astra International owned 59.5% shares in United Tractors.
Astra International‘s ASII-coded shares fell 100 points or 0.15% to IDR68,850 and created market capitalization of IDR278,73 trillion. As for United Tractors declined 350 points or 1.27% to IDR27,150 and created market capitalization of IDR101.09 trillion. (T06/aph)
