JAKARTA: Pacific Royale is planning its first flight begins June 11, 2012 after obtaining the Air Operator Certificate (AOC) or a certificate of operation of the aircraft today, Wednesday June 6, 2012.
The new airline is ready to compete with Garuda Indonesia, which has been served premium class or full services.
"We officially received AOC from the Ministry of Transport on Wednesday night [June 6], but in fact we have received a copy of it since May 29, 2012 since it was signed the Director General of Civil Aviation," said President Director of Pacific Royale Samudera Sukardi said today.
He said the AOC was received after it brought two Fokker 50 aircrafts. Next we will be brought 320 Airbus aircraft by the end of June.
"The lessor [the finance company] did not want to bring the aircraft Airbus 320 if we do not have he AOC. Now, the AOC will facilitate the arrival of Airbus aircraft, "said Sukardi.
Sukardi explained it plans first flight on June 11, 2012 by using the two existing aircraft, the Fokker F50, a turboprop-powered small airplane equipped with a propeller with a capacity of 50 seats.(T03/TW)
