JAKARTA: Groundbreaking of The Masterplan for the Acceleration and Expansion of Economic Development of Indonesia (MP3EI) in Sumatera corridor in 2012 validated as much as IDR47.42 trillion from investment estimation at IDR1,132 trillion up to 2014, government said.
Groundbreaking of infrastructure and real projects investment in 2011 noted at IDR97 trillion, said Chairman of Sumatra Corridor Working Group Zulkifli Hasan.
“Total in Sumatra is around IDR1000 trillion until 2014. Hopefully validation this year is greater than 2011, or at least similar to,” he said in Jakarta, today May 10.
In details, validation of MP3EI 2012 groundbreaking projects consist of IDR12.231 trillion infrastructure investment and IDR35.191 trillion real sector investment.
Validation of MP3EI project in Sumatera corridor per 2012 is IDR144 trillion or 12% of total investment indication up to 2014.
According to Ministry of Forestry, several ongoing projects in Sumatera corridors are palm oil cultivation in Seimangke, Medan-Kualanamu toll road construction, rail road construction, port and Sunda Strait Bridge. (T05/faa)
