JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index climbed 0.35% in midday break at 12:18 local time, while rupiah strengthened 8 points or 0.08% to IDR9,486 per US$.
The index rose 14.16 points to 4,098.37 after moving in the range of 4,085.29-4,119.83.
Among 451 members, 95 shares increased, 108 shares declined, and 248 shares were unchanged.

Six of nine sectoral indeces gave positive contribution led by finance with +55.80% and basic industry and chemical with +37.81%. Meanwhile, the remaining three sectors were negative, i.e. infrastructure, utility and transportation with -44.87%, agriculture with -4.92%, and consumer goods with -4.62%.
Bisnis-27 Index also increased 0.57% or 1.98 points to 347.42. The index moved within the range of 345.14-349.00.
