MIDDAY BREAK: Jakarta Composite Index decreased 0,89%

JAKARTA--Ending the first trading session, Jakarta Composite Index reached 3826.24.

JCI decreased -34.21 points or -0.89% at 12:00 Jakarta time than yesterday’s closing level at 3860.46. The index moved within the range of 3812.68-3860.70.

Among 444 members, 39 shares increased, 178 decreased and 227 stagnant.

Bank Rakyat Indonesia led this midday reduction with -4.18 points to IDR5900, followed by Bank Mandiri with -3.96 points to IDR6850, Perusahaan Gas Negara with -3.46 to IDR3400 and United Tractors with -3.41 points to IDR22600.

Indo Tambangraya hold from further increase with +1.29 points to IDR35200, followed by Mayora Indah with +0.96 points to IDR23450, Adaro Energy with +0.73 points to IDR1250 and Indofood CBP with +0.67 to IDR5750.

All nine sectoral indices gave negative contribution motored by finance with -33.01%, trade, service and investment with -18.27% and infrastructure, utility and transportation with -17.13%.

In line with JCI, Bisnis-27 decreased -3.45 points or -1.06% to 321.08 from yesterday’s closing level at 324.54. The index moved within the range of 319.56-324.59.

For regional sectors, Japan’ Nikkei 225 -0.10% to 8579.87,Hong Kong’ Hang Seng -0.64% to 18903.98, Taiwan’ Taiex -0.10% to 7082.07, South Korea’ Kospi -0.11% to 1857.39, Australia’ S&P/ASX 200 -0.41% to 4047.00,Singapore’ FTSE Straits Times -0.32% to 2777.60 and MSCI Asia -0.46% to 762.07.

Indonesia’ rupiah noted at 9439, decreased 9 points or -0.10% from yesterday closing at 9430. The currency moved within the range of 9430-9472.(T05/TW)
