JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index slipped 0.68% in the opening session at 9:56 local time after regional indeces weaken as the European Central Bank failed to deliver immediate action to stem the region’s debt crisis.
Meanwhile rupiah weakened 14 points or 0.15% to IDR9,490 per US$.
The index fell 27.86 points to 4,065.24 after moving in the range of 4,059.93-4,078.80.
Among 451 members, 22 shares increased, 147 shares declined, and 282 shares were unchanged.

Seven of nine sectoral indeces gave negative contribution led by miscellaneous industry with -29.12% and finance with -23.19%.
Meanwhile, the remaining two sectors were positive, i.e. consumer goods with +0.20% and infrastructure, utility and transportation with +0.24%.
BISNIS-27 Index also slipped 0.77% or 2.68 points to 344.12. The index moved within the range of 343.17-344.84.
