JAKARTA: Opening this week, Jakarta Composite Index strengthened 0.60% at 9:41 local time, while Rupiah exchange rate increased by 0.40% or 38 points to IDR9,395 against US$.
The index rose 23.86 points to 3,979.43 after moving in range of 3,972.36 – 3,987.56.
Among 445 members, 82 stocks rose, 16 stocks fell, and 347 stocks stagnant.

Eight of nine sectoral indeces gave positive contribution, led by mining and finance sector. Meanwhile, basic industry and chemical was the only sector with negative contribution.
BISNIS-27 Index strengthened 0.61% or 2.03 points to 335.30. The index moved in the range of 334.59 – 336.83.
