JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index strengthened 0.52% in the opening session at 9:43 local time, while rupiah strengthened by 0.13% or 12 points to IDR9,480 per US$.
The index rose 21.29 points to 4,120.41 after moving in the range of 4,106.70-4,123.55.
Among 451 members, 15 shares increased, 8 shares declined, and 428 shares were unchanged.

Six of nine sectoral indeces gave positive contribution led by finance with +57.37%, basic industry and chemical with +36.01%, and miscellaneous industry with +10.23%. Meanwhile, the remaining three sectors were negative, i.e. infrastructure, utility and transportation with -6.35%, consumer goods with -3.79%, and trade, service and investment with -1.83%.
Bisnis-27 Index also strengthened 0.75% or 2.59 points to 350.09. The index moved within the range of 348.35-350.93.
