JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index increased in morning session as US housing starts jumped to the highest in almost four years, boosting the outlook for exporters
The Jakarta Composite Index increased 16.11 points or 0.39% to 4,097.75 at 09.30 local time from yesterday’s opening level of 4,081.63, while rupiah exchange rate was depreciated 16 points or 0.17% to IDR9,469 per US$.
The index moved within a range of 4,103.00 – 4,092.71. Among 451 members, 94 stocks rose, 16 stocks fell, and 341 stocks stagnant.
