JAKARTA: PT United Tractors Tbk is targeting to win a steam-power plant project in Riau-based mine mouth having 2x300 Megawatt capacity after getting failed to work on a project tender in South Sumatra.
The miner is allocating IDR7 trillion cash fund to finance the steam-power plant project of mine mouth by engaging the local government and other partners. Predictably, the project will be supported financially by 30% from its internal cash and 60% from bank’s loan.
“For the project in South Sumatra, we lose, while the project in Riau will be re-tendered as we are the only one participant. So, join the bid offer once again,” United Tractors Financial Director Gidion Hasan, by the end of last week.
Reportedly, the UNTR-coded company had cooperated PT Wijaya Karya Tbk and the local government to win the steam-power plant project in Palembang, South Sumatra requiring total US$600 million investment, while it has engaged the local government and other partners to win the project in Riau having similar investment by US$600 million.
In a period ended in December 2011, cash and equivalent cash climbed IDR7.14 trillion from IDR1.34 trillion in the same period of 2010. (t01/aph)
