JAKARTA – Distributor and solution provider of information technology products PT Metrodata Electronics Tbk eyed IDR5.09 trillion sales in 2012, increased 15.5% compared with last year's sales.
Metrodata Electronics director Agus Honggo Widodo said most of the sales this year are still supported by information technology products distribution segment. In this segment, the company is targeting sales as much as IDR3.6 trillion, up 14% from previous year.
Business solutions segment revenue is expected to grow 15.9% from IDR1.3 trillion by the end of December 2011 to IDR1.5 trillion. The retail segment is expected to account for IDR51 billion, increased 428% compared to last year's sales.
"We are targeting sales growth of 15.5%. The gross profit is expected to increase by 14.7% to approximately IDR434.6 billion this year," he said in a public exposure, Wednesday (20/6).
The company seeks to maximize the retail business growth potential with by expanding the sales point. According to the plan, company listed with MTDL code on the index will add 13 new sales points in the second half of this year. Currently the company has 18 brands in its portfolio of products, with 1,300 kinds of information technology products. In addition, Metrodata has 13 warehouses with up to 9,000 cubic meters capacity.
