JAKARTA: PT Bank Mandiri Tbk allovated IDR50 billion for the development of e-toll card and e-toll pass, a prepaid card for highway users.
The fund will be used to purchase e-toll pass’ 20,000 on board units and 50 e-toll pass sensors and several equipments for automatic toll gate, said Director Budi Gunadi Sadikin.
“We have been spending IDR50 billion for e-toll card development since 2009 where IDR10 billion for each year.”
The bank is targeted to sell 1 million e-toll card this year. Transaction using such card is expected to cover 30% of total toll road transaction. (T05)
