JAKARTA: PT Humpuss Intermoda Transportasi Tbk still suffer financial loss in first and second quarter this year after delaying the release of its financial statements in the periods.
According to Humpuss President Director Theo Lekatompessy, the performance reporting is slightly delayed due to liquidation problem of its subsidiary Humpus Sea Transport Ltd and law suits from three creditors of Humpuss Sea in London court, England.
He also claimed that the company’s financial loss this year is lighter than the loss in first quarter.
“Such loss can be minimized as the company shifted from Red Ocean industry [saturated market] to Blue Ocean [market that still has a great opportunity]. We focus on domestic market with gas and offshore business,” he said Wednesday (7/11/2012).
Currently, Humpuss vessel utility has reached 80% so that in theory it could record break-even point or at least earn a narrow profit. (T06/TW)
