JAKARTA: Foreign-denominated loan disbursement grew significantly at the end of first quarter 2012, even though several major banks will restrict loan with foreign currency.
Such disbursement reached IDR356.9 trillion until the end of March 2012 or 30.48% higher compared to the end of March 2011.
It exceeded the average growth of rupiah-denominated loan in range of 24% in the same period. Loan in rupiah currency reached IDR1,938 trillion at the end of March from IDR1,566 trillion a year earlier. (T06/msw)
