JAKARTA: Cellular phone distributor PT Erajaya Swasembada Tbk acquired iBox trademarks.
The company spent US$18 million to obtain the rights from Grandoff International Limited and PT Hidup Gaya Digital, said Erajaya’ Director Sim Chee Ping.
“The acquisition was conducted by our unit PT Data Citra Mandiri. We hope it can be finished on July 1,” he said after attending annual meeting of shareholders yesterday, May 30, 2012
Erajaya now has not only distribution rights but also ownership of 20 iBox stores in Jakarta. iBox is a licensed store to sell Apple’s products. (05/TW)
