JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index strengthened 1.10% in the closing session today at 16:22 p.m., while rupiah slipped 0.55% or 52 points to 9450 against US$.
The index rose 42.04 points to 3,860.15 after moving in range of 3,849.95 – 3,897.43.
Among 444 members, 177 stocks rose, 60 stocks fell, and 207 stocks stagnant.
Leading stocks:
Unilever Indonesia +6.01% to IDR23,800
Perusahaan Gas Negara +3.68% to IDR3,525
Bank Central Asia +2.82% to IDR7,300
Astra International +2.27% to IDR6,750
Lagging stocks:
XL Axiata -11.67% to IDR5,300
Telekomunikasi Indonesia -5.06% to IDR7,500
Astra Agro Lestari -3.80% to IDR20,250
Bank Danamon -1.71% to IDR5,750
From nine sectoral indeces, eight gave positive contribution led by consumer goods and finance sector, while one sector was negative namely infrastructure, utility and transportation.
Bisnis-27 Index also strengthened 0.69% or 2.22 points to 323.44 after moving in range of 322.71 – 328.63. (T06/TW)
