JAKARTA: Traffic Management Center Polda Metro Jaya stated Jatibening toll road heading to Cikampek and Jakarta can be accessed again.
Traffic Management Polda Metro Jaya in its twitter account @tmcpoldametro at 08:19 a.m. stated that the Jatibening Toll Road heading to Cikampek and Jakarta can be crossed.
Jatibening toll road which has been blocked by protesters since Friday morning can be accessed as the protesters who had burned Jasa Marga car on Friday (7/27/2012) have started to leave.
“There was an agreement with the police, they will seek for drop-pick area in Jatibening to be reopened,” said one of protesters, Masran, as cited by Antara.
Masran said the demonstration was started since 3:30 a.m. since Jasa Marga as the toll operator closed the passenger drop-pick access on the side of Jatibening toll road, Bekasi. The location is usually called Jatibening toll “unsettled terminal”.
He said Jasa Marga prevented people to ride-get down from the vehicle and used “thuggery and mass organizations” to prevent people enter the area.
Masran said most protesters are motorcycle-taxi ride and street vendors whose income was declined as the “unsettled terminal” was closed. (T07/msw)
