BATAM: Animation industry is targeted to scoop US$2.42 billion market share or 1% from the total market share of US$242 billion in 2016.
PT Kinema Systrans Multimedia Infinite Studios Technology Director Daniel Harjanto said currently Indonesia animation market is still 0.9%.
This amount could potentially increase. Moreover, the current contribution from film, television, and radio to national creative industry is still very small.
He said fashion particularly apparel products still dominate the creative industries growth nationwide.
"The target is to increase up to 1% to US$2.42 billion. The difference in our industry is that we need human resources (HR) idea instead of raw materials. Our employees are 95% local, the rest are from Ireland, Canada, Singapore, and India," he said Thursday (07/05/2012).
PT Kinema Systrans Multimedia Assistant Head of Studio and Head of VFX Studios Infinite Leo Hartadi added in early 2005, the company only has less than five employees. Currently, it has reached around 200 employees.
"Our employees have increased. The studio has been also relocated," he said. (T07/aph)
