JAKARTA: Jakarta Composite Index weakened this midday break, on March 16, 2012, by 1.86 points or -0.05% to 4,038.11. The index moved within the range of 4,034.99 - 4,060.07.
Among 442 stocks listed on the index, 93 stocks rose, 101 stokes fell, and 248 stocks were stagnant. About five of 9 sectors on the index moved positively, led by miscellaneous industries, and mining sector. While other 4 sectors moved in red zone, led by infrastructure and finance sectors.
Several stocks which gave positive contributions were Bank Central Asia with +1.28% to IDR7,900, Perusahaan Gas Negara adding 2.04% to IDR3,750, Bhakti Investama up 15.76% to IDR330, and Unilever Indonesia adding 0.78% to IDR19,300.
Meanwhile Astra International slowed the index as it fell 1.37% to IDR72,050, followed by United Tractors down 1.85% to 29,150, Gudang Garam -1.62% to IDR54,700, and Indofood CBP Sukses Makmur down 2.75% to IDR5,300.
BISNIS-27 also slumped 1.30 points or 0.38% to 342.68 after moved within the range of 342.05 – 345.87.
Moving contrary from JCI, Indonesian rupiah slightly strengthened 4 points to IDR9,176 per US Dollar after moved within the range of IDR9,155 – IDR9,198. (T07/NOM)
