Mirta is one of the victim of Malinda’s fraud in 2008. At that time, Mirta put her money amounting IDR12 billion in mutual fund product, Fortis Ekuitas.

When the Melinda’s case blew out, the US bank only wanted to return the deposit plus its interest as much as 5% per year.

“I put it in Fortis Ekuitas, thus the return since 2008 is IDR10 billion, making a total claim of IDR22 billion,” she said.

Mirta admitted of having met Citibank’s representatives several times, but she complained of the bank's unfair treatment which she was prohibited to be accompanied by her lawyer. (T03/aph)
