JAKARTA: Indonesia sharia-based banking booked IDR581 billion net profit in QI/2012 drove by hike in financing by almost 47%.
Based on Bank Indonesia’ data, sharia banking pocketed IDR581 billion net profit in January-March, rose 45% than IDR400 billion on the same period last year.
Growth was motored by an increase in operating income that reached IDR3.74 trillion, bigger than a year earlier at IDR2.76 trillion, mainly by expansion of financing distribution.
Third party fund also increased by 50% to IDR119.64 trillion from IDR79.65 trillion. Financing to deposit ratio rose by 91.2%. (T05/aph)
