JAKARTA: PT Hutama Karya will cooperate with regional government and private investor to build elevated railway from Bekasi to Slipi worth IDR10 trillion.
Such cooperation is aimed to improve the financial feasibility of the project following the objection from Minister for SOEs Dahlan Iskan concerning the use of State Budget, PT Hutama Karya President Director Tri Widjajanto said.
Based on the initial calculation, the passenger tariff could be set at IDR9,000 if it's built using the State Budget.
"We are now reviewing its financial feasibility. If we can cooperate with regional government and private investor to lower the tariff rate then it's considered financially viable. If not the passenger tariff can reach IDR40,000 (one trip)," he said on Tuesday (8/14/2012).
However, he can't mention the cost rate if the project is carried out by a consortium since it depends on the subsidy from local government. (T06/aph)
