JAKARTA: PT Honda Prospect Motor managed to sell 26,018 unit cars in first half this year or 20% higher compared to 21,573 units in the same period a year earlier.
“We are grateful to exceed last year’s sale figure in first half this year through the launching of various new car models,” said PT Honda Prospect Motor Marketing & Aftersales Service Director Jonfis Fandy in a press release Thursday (7/12/2012).
Currently, Honda dominated 4.9% of car market share across Indonesia. It sold 7,410 units in June, the highest in the last six months.
Such sale figure rose by 10% compared to 6,733 units in May.
Honda Freed, Honda Jazz, and Honda CR-V contributed the most to the company’s total sales. The sale of Honda Jazz reached 3,473 units in June or 48% higher compared to 2,344 units last month.
During the last six months, total sales of Honda Jazz reached 10,038 units across Indonesia and controlled 29% of hatchback market share.
Honda Freed also recorded a high sale figure by 1,901 units last month. During one semester, the sale of Honda Freed reached 8,901 units across Indonesia and dominated 12% market share.
As for the sale of MPV premium Honda All New Honda Odyssey reached 66 units in previous month and 502 units throughout 2012. (T06/TW)
