JAKARTA: Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy is eyeing to attract at least 180,000 tourists from India through the event of Sales Mission India 2012 held in Benguluru, Ahmadebad, and Kolkata.
“We are expecting IDR180 billion business transactions from the event or 12.5% higher compared to last year,” said the Ministry's Director of Overseas Tourism Promotion Nia Niscaya in Jakarta Friday (7/20/2012).
Nia will lead the sales mission which facilitates 15 tourism industries in Indonesia. Those industries are MG Holiday Travel (Jakarta), Melia Bali Hotel (Bali), PT. Tri Uma Wisata Bali (Bali), U & I Travel (Bali), L & H Travel (Bali), Sunlike Group of Hotel (Jakarta), Asia World Indonesia/PT Buaya Travel Indonesia (Bali), PT Ginar Tour (Jakarta), BJC Tours & Travel (Bali), Niwarna Gardens Hotel, Hyatt Hotels, Oberoi Group of Hotels, Accor Group of Hotels, Marriott Hotels, and Starwood Hotels.
“They will conduct business meeting or table top with the India tourism buyers in the three cities," she said.
Sales Mission India 2012 will run for five days 23-27 July 2012, starting from Benguluru.
“According to plan, the event will be officially opened by Indonesian Ambassador in New Delhi Andi M. Ghalib” Nia added.
