JAKARTA: Garuda Indonesia will provide plane ticket with 25% discounts and 10 kg extra baggage for students, following the signing of memorandum of understanding (MoU) with 17 international educational institutions and universities in Indonesia.
PT Garuda Indonesia Tbk Marketing Director and Sales Elisa Lumbantoruan signed the MoU together with the representatives from eduactional institutions, state and private universities, as witnessed by Director of Educator and Educational Personnel Prof. Dr. Supriyadi Rustaf. MSI in Garuda Indonesia office building, Cengkareng, Wednesday, May 6, 2012.
According to VP Corporate Communication Garuda Indonesia Pujobroto, Garuda becomes the official airline for educational institutions with the signing of such MoU and their students will receive 25% discounts and 10 kg extra baggage.
“Moreover, educator and staff of the education institutions along with the student parent who accompany will also receive price discount when flying with Garuda Indonesia,” he said.
It covers domestic and international flight route for tour and official trip.
Those educational institutions are Airlangga University, Hassanudin University, Riau University, Diponegoro University, Bandung Institute of Technology, Bogor Agricultural University, and University of Indonesia, Gadjah Mada University, Mulawarman University, Sumatera Utara University, Principal Bandung International School, Global Jaya, ACG International School, Paramadina University, Sekolah Tiara Bangsa - ACS (International) Jakarta, Pelita Harapan University, and Jubille Internasional.
Elisa said the signing of MoU is part of Garuda’s effort to appreciate the world of education and to bridge the needs of air transportation for teachers and students.
