JAKARTA: State revenue from excise reached IDR32.34 trillion until mid-this month or 38.85% from the target of revised State budget 2012, following the imposition of tobacco tax rate increase this year.
“Excise tax revenue has reached 38.85% from annual target of IDR83.26 trillion or 103.59% from the annual target set at IDR31.22 trillion,” Head of Sub Directorate of Revenue and Customs/Excise Regulations (PPKC) at Directorate General of Customs and Excise Eksi Nugroho told Bisnis last week.
Directorate General of Customs and Excise also booked IDR4.93 trillion from value added tax (VAT) on tobacco products. It showed the total revenue reached IDR50.64 trillion or 38.60% from this year’s target. (04/T06/TW)
