JAKARTA: Government will facilitate private power plant development expansion by revising Government Decree 14/2012 in order to increase national electrification ratio.
Director General of Electricity, Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources, Jarman explained through such revision, the power plant development should not be done in the same location.
"So, the expansion can be done in existing area or new locations, so it’s adjusted existing transmission load demand," he said on Thursday (19/7).
In addition, independent power producers (IPP) are also allowed to expand the capacity of one of new generator unit in which its capacity are greater than those which already existing. (T07/MSW)
