JAKARTA: PT Duta Graha Indah Tbk, a private constructor, obtained new contract amounting IDR100 billion during the first quarter this year.
Corporate Secretary of Duta Graha Djohan Halim said the company is targeting new contracts this year at IDR1.5 trillion, or up 63.93% from last year's achievement of IDR914.97 billion.
Meanwhile, he said the carry over contract from last year reached IDR1.3 trillion. Thus, Djohan explained this year the company is targeting order book worth IDR2.8 trillion.
"In the first quarter we have not got a lot of projects, only about IDR100 billion. Most of the contracts came from private sector, "he said after general meeting of shareholders (AGM).
Related with performance over the past year, Duta Graha noted a 88.37% decline in net profit to IDR7.99 billion from IDR70.54 billion. The company’s revenues also slumped 25.92% to IDR1 trillion from IDR1.35 trillion in 2010.
According to Djohan the decline in revenues in last year was caused by the decrease in construction project, an impact from Athlete Village bribery case which entangled the company’s management.
“Last year was not a good year for us following the bribery case. However, this year we are optimistic to book better performance. We hope the revenue can grow between 5% and 7,”he said.
