JAKARTA: State-owned contractor PT Brantas Abipraya booked total contract to IDR1.5 trillion with net income to IDR50 billion. The contract value was equivalent to 83% of this year’s target by IDR1.8 trillion.
PT Brantas Abipraya (Persero) President Director Bambang E. Marsono said the contract value enhanced by 40% this year compared to that of in the last year which was less than IDR1 trillion.
He added the increasing realization of project value was contributed by higher market share and number of government’s projects in the water sector as reservoirs, dams, and irrigations that would be tendered this year and located in Citarum, Bengawan Solo, and South Sumatra.
In the meantime, the state-owned company focuses on development projects of water resources which has contributed 80% of total revenues, while the remaining came from road projects in Kalimantan and Sulawesi as well as building construction of Institut Pertanian Bogor.
Besides pocketing new contracts, the state-owned contractor also control carry over project valued by IDR2.5 trillion. In conclusion, the company is projected to record total contract value to IDR4.3 trillion until the end of this year.(t01/msw)
