JAKARTA: Oil and Gas Upstream Executive Agency (BP Migas) is having a discussion with China government regarding the renegotiation of Liquefied Natural Gas Tangguh price.
BP Migas Head R Priyono said the Government intended the LNG Tangguh price sold to China above domestiv price. “Our government is discussing with China government,” Priyono said, after land acquisition coordination meeting at Ministry of Economy Office, Tuesday, May 29, 2012.
Priyono said the government will attempt to get a higher gas price deals compared to the domestic although the gas price calculation cannot be compared to crude oil price.
“Domestic gas price range is US$5 – US$6 a mmbtu, we want a higher price,” he said. (T07/msw)
