BP BATAM allocates IDR14.7 billion for HANG NADIM Airport

BATAM: Batam Concession Agency (BP-Batam) allocated IDR14.7 billion this year for the procurement of the latest technological equipments.


Such procurement is conducted to renew the technology in supporting Hang Nadim International Airport performance, BP Batam Head of Sub-directorate Public Relation and Publication Ilham Eka Hartawan said.

“The new equipments will operate in Hang Nadim Airport. Seven procurement projects are already running with a total value of IDR14.7 billion, while the remaining three projects are still under auction process,” he said on Thursday, May 31, 2012.

The seven procurement projects are Aero Web Met equipment valuing IDR2.5 billion, x-ray baggage in passenger terminal IDR399 million, procurement and installment of AC Cassette for waiting in the terminal IDR509 million, direction fender IDR1.8 billion, Aeronautical Data Processing System (ADPS) IDR3.8 billion, weather radar equipment reconditioning IDR2.6 billion, construction and reparation of Airport perimeter fence IDR2.8 billion.

“Direct fender is use not only to filter the frequency between ATC and pilot but also between ATC and its surroundings. Meanwhile, ADPS is for flight data collection,” he said.

BP Batam said there is no contract value for the remaining 3 projects, i.e. procurement of AMSC, Roughtness and friction runway (Rubber Deposit), construction of fix gangway, as well as the procurement of passenger boarding bridge.
