JAKARTA: PT Bhakti Capital Indonesia Tbk, a subsidiary of PT Bhakti Investama Tbk, inaugurated its new subsidiary which engaged in general insurance business namely PT MNC Asuransi Indonesia (MNC Insurance).
In the first year of its operations, the company eyed IDR75 billion premiums.
Purnadi Harjono, Bhakti Capital Director and MNC Insurance Chief Commissioner, said for the initial phase it will target captive market segment. Then, the commany will target general non-captive insurance market for both retail and corporate segments.
He added for the corporate segment it has set up insurance for property, cargo, heavy equipment, construction, and miscellaneous.
As for the retail segment, the company has prepared insurance product for motorcycle, car, and fire insurance (for house).
“Building, work equipment, motor vehicles, have become captive market for MNC Insurance. For introduction to outside of the group, it can be done through MNC media,” he said, today.
In December last year, Bhakti Capital acquired 99.9% shares of PT Jamindo General Insurance.
"In addition to complete one-stop financial services in Bhakti Capital, the acquisition of general insurance companies also gave a positive synergy among the group," he said. (T07/aph)
