JAKARTA: PT Bank Mandiri Tbk channeled investment loan and small-medium business working capital as much as IDR77 billion with 5 years tenor to PT Java Energy Semesta.
Java Energy Semesta (JES) President Director Andang Susilo Dwihandoyo said the loan will be used to build natural gas compression station in Gresik, East Java.
“The station will be able to serve compression up to 6.5 million metric standard cubic feet per day (MMscfd). The construction has started,” he said on Tuesday, April 24, 2012. “I expect the station production will reach 6.5 MMscfd by June this year.”
According to him, the company targeted the compression of 10 MMscfd by early next year. Thus, the company needs IDR23.1 billion – IDR30.8 billion of funds.
Andang continued the company will re-apply for investment loan and working capital loan to Bank Mandiri after the bank evaluated the ongoing loan.
He admitted the investment and business expansion has so far supported by banking industries up to 70% of the demands. Meanwhile, other 30% demands are from company’s capital.
“However, to reach the capacity, we also need to find out the gas sources. In terms of capability, we only need three additional compressors, but if there’s no gas supply it’s hard to meet the demand.” He said. (T07/aph)
