BAKAUHENI: Peak backflow Idul Fitri 2012 through Bakauheni Port, Lampung predicted to occur on Wednesday (22/8) and Sunday (26/8).
Head of PT Transport River and Lake Crossing (ASDP) Indonesia Ferry Branch Bakauheni Yanes Lentenga said it was due largely to the office began operations on Thursday (23/8) and Monday (27/8).
"The policy of different offices. Some started to go on Thursday, and those that entered Monday next week, so this affects the peak reverse flow," he said when met at the Port Business Bakauheni, Lampung, on Tuesday (21/08/2012).
According to him, the prediction of the existence of two peaks backflow is expected a positive effect on the operation of the ship in the port.
He hoped passengers and vehicles will not go on certain days causing uncomfortable trip.
"The existence of these two peak flow automatically creates a flow of passengers and vehicles break down and do not make crowded," he said. (ra)
