SINGAPORE: Asian stocks were little changed before a Bank of Japan policy decision today, and ahead of economic reports from China that may signal a deeper slowdown in the world’s second-largest economy.
The MSCI Asia Pacific Index fell 0.1% to 116.48 as of 9:07 a.m. in Tokyo, with about almost three stocks falling for every two that rose.
Japan’s Nikkei 225 Stock Average declined 0.1 percent. South Korea’s Kospi Index slid 0.1 percen, while Australia’s S&P/ASX 200 Index rose 0.1%. (Bloomberg/tw)
